Levi had a Dr Seuss theme for his birthday party this year, so of course I had to make Truffala Tree Treats.
The Lorax is one of my all-time favorite books, so I tried to recreate the truffala trees that the Lorax so desperately tries to save.
Here’s how they turned out.
These are super easy to make. Just skewer your favorite fruits, then top with a puff of cotton candy. You can find bags of cotton candy at most dollar stores, or in your grocer’s candy aisle.
I reused some styrofoam packaging so I could stand the skewers upright for a nice display.
When making these, be sure to use a “dry” fruit on the top, otherwise the cotton candy will melt.
Serve with Yertle Turtle Treats (chocolate turtles) or Green Eggs (No Ham) cookies.
